Nick Wenger | GDC Number 72392
Nick Wenger is a Specialist Orthodontist and an NHS Consultant Orthodontist. He holds a MSc in Orthodontics from the University of London in addition to his Membership in Orthodontics and Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
He qualified as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 1996 and then held a commission in the Royal Navy for seven years, reaching the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander. During this time he served ashore in the UK, Canada and Brunei Darussalam. His deployments to sea included the West Indies and the Mediterranean.
In 1999 Nick trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Hospital Haslar and Queen Alexandra’s Hospitals in Portsmouth, which led to a Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
After leaving the Navy Nick undertook his three-year postgraduate orthodontic training at Guys Dental Hospital in London and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, followed by a further two years training at the Bristol Dental Hospital culminating in a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Nick is currently a Consultant in Orthodontics at The Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro. He is actively involved in research and best practice development and remains at the forefront of the orthodontic profession. He is extensively published in industry and professional journals and continues to be involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
